Registered Nurse Medical Surgical Intermediate Part-time Days

Location: 25 N. Winfield Rd., Winfield, Illinois; onsite, part-time day shifts from 7:00am–7:30pm with rotating weekends

Salary: $34.50–$55.20 per hour

What you will do

• Assess acutely ill patients and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Coordinate care delivery and direct the work of assistants involved in direct patient care.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff during care delivery.
• Document patient responses, communications, outcomes, and care-plan updates in the health record.
• Participate in multidisciplinary bedside rounds, shared governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Use available evidence and research findings to guide nursing practice.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; an Associate Degree in Nursing is acceptable with a commitment to complete a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Ability to provide professional nursing care to acutely ill patients in a high-acuity medical-surgical setting.

Nice to have

• Experience in the relevant clinical area.
• Trauma Nurse Specialist, Emergency Communications Registered Nurse, Certified Pediatric Nurse, or Certified Emergency Nurse credentials.
