Registered Nurse-Emergency Department In-House Registry Rotating (Emergency Nursing)

Location: 1 Kish Hospital Dr., DeKalb, Illinois, United States. Onsite, part-time role with a rotating shift.

Salary: USD 48–55 per hour

What you will do

• Assess acutely ill patients and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Coordinate nursing care and determine the appropriate use of assistants involved in direct patient care.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary healthcare staff.
• Document patient responses, care plans, communications, and clinical decisions in the health record.
• Participate in shared governance, committee work, unit projects, and evidence-based practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); an ADN is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• For emergency room assignments: ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and TNCC are required within one year of hire.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the relevant clinical area.
• Trauma Nurse Specialist, Emergency Communications Registered Nurse, Certified Pediatric Nurse, or Certified Emergency Nurse credentials.
