Enterprise Architect - Application Security and Cloud Platform (Azure/GCP)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global Base Camp in Springfield, Missouri, United States. Occasional travel to key facilities or team meetings, less than 15%.

What you will do

• Define the enterprise strategy, reference architectures, reusable patterns, and governance standards for application and cloud platform security.
• Architect secure patterns for microservices, APIs, serverless workloads, legacy platforms, containers, Kubernetes, and multi-cloud environments.
• Establish security controls for identity, workload isolation, data protection, zero trust, CSPM, CWPP, CNAPP, logging, and monitoring across Azure and GCP.
• Integrate application security into CI/CD pipelines and guide development teams on threat modeling, secure design, vulnerability mitigation, and shift-left practices.
• Lead architecture review boards and provide oversight for major programs, cloud modernization, transformation initiatives, and legacy platform migrations.
• Partner with Security, Engineering, Operations, audit, risk, and compliance stakeholders while mentoring architects, engineers, and developers.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software architecture, application security, or cloud platform architecture.
• 7+ years designing and securing cloud-native architectures in Azure or GCP.
• Deep expertise in secure application patterns, DevSecOps, CI/CD security integration, microservices, Kubernetes, containers, and serverless architecture.
• Knowledge of legacy platform security, including WebSphere Commerce Suite or Java-based enterprise systems.
• Expertise with OWASP, NIST, zero trust, secure design principles, threat modeling, and cloud-native security services such as Azure Defender and GCP SCC.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience, plus strong executive communication and cross-functional influence.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP, GCSA, TOGAF, or an Azure/GCP Architect certification.
