Lead Security Architect (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote nationwide in the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $142,300–$195,700 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Perform application security assessments, threat modeling, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis.
• Design and update security architecture elements to address emerging threats and enterprise architecture gaps.
• Integrate security controls and secure design patterns into modern SDLC and DevSecOps environments.
• Review enterprise application architectures and advise on solutions that reduce security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Communicate security requirements, risks, and recommendations to technical stakeholders and business leaders.
• Automate and standardize applicable security processes while serving as a security point of contact for a business segment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information systems management, computer science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 5 years focused on security architecture.
• Experience with threat modeling, application security assessments, architecture reviews, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience integrating security controls into SDLC and DevSecOps environments.
• Experience securing APIs, web applications, and cloud-based workloads in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience communicating security risks and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant information technology field.
• CISSP, CEH, or a similar certification.
• Product or application security experience.
• Architecture certification in a leading cloud platform.
