Electrical Engineer II (Packaging Automation)

What you will do

• Research, design, and evaluate electrical and electronic equipment, systems, and processes for packaging machinery.
• Design complex electrical systems and equipment from conception through commercialization.
• Program electronic controls and specify or modify components to meet engineering and performance requirements.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, sales, service, purchasing, and customer representatives.
• Perform in-house quality checks, equipment commissioning, root-cause analysis, and field troubleshooting.
• Lead multiple medium- to complex-level projects while coordinating with technical specialists and engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in the packaging industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles applied to high-speed packaging machinery.
• Experience with MS Office, ERP systems, AutoCAD or equivalent CADD applications, RSLogix 5/500, Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk View Studio ME.
• Experience designing equipment with electronic motion control and knowledge of industrial networks such as Ethernet/IP and Profibus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
