Maintenance Engineer (Medical Office Buildings)

Location: On-site in Sarasota and Venice, Florida

What you will do

• Perform preventive and emergency maintenance and assigned repairs for medical office buildings.
• Maintain and troubleshoot building automation, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, boiler, generator, transfer switch, and life safety systems.
• Complete building upkeep duties, including pressure washing and leaf blowing as needed.
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Provide on-call support for assigned properties.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Thorough understanding of building automation systems, electrical systems, controls, condensing boilers, rooftop HVAC, variable air volume systems, chemical treatment, emergency generation equipment, plumbing, transfer switches, and life safety systems.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills and the ability to use a computer and smartphone for work orders and email.
• Excellent organization, verbal and written communication, multitasking, and blueprint-reading skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, lift 50 pounds, and climb ladders.

Nice to have

• Relevant licensure or trade certification.
