TL;DR
Material Handling Coordinator III (Supply Chain & Warehouse): Coordinating advanced receiving, material movement, outbound shipping, and inventory control for regulated medical-device and clinical laboratory operations with an accent on documentation accuracy, compliance, and warehouse execution. Focus on investigating discrepancies, maintaining inventory records, training material-handling staff, and safely operating across warehouse, production, laboratory, and cold-storage environments.

Location: On-site in Durham, NC; full-time Monday–Friday, 2nd shift

What you will do

  • Perform advanced receiving activities, inspect shipments, verify documentation, process transactions, and coordinate discrepancy resolution.
  • Stage, move, and deliver materials across storage, production, laboratory, and shipping areas using authorized equipment.
  • Prepare domestic and international outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, documentation, and system transactions.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, inventory research, and timely system entry.
  • Train and guide Material Handler I and II employees while serving as a resource for routine operational issues.
  • Support process improvements and ensure compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and company procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–4 years of relevant material handling, warehouse, shipping and receiving, or inventory control experience, or a technical certificate or degree in logistics or supply chain.
  • Knowledge of GMP quality systems, including ISO 13485, and clinical laboratory standards such as CAP, CLIA, NYSDOH, or ISO 15189.
  • Knowledge of regulated medical-device operations, including IVDD, IVDR, FDA 21 CFR 800 series, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
  • Knowledge of regulated transportation requirements, including DOT and IATA.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., work on foot in operational areas, use required PPE, and work in ambient and cold-storage environments down to approximately -80°C.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency with forklifts, powered industrial trucks, warehouse management systems, and standard office software.
  • Experience investigating discrepancies, making routine operational decisions, and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Experience training or guiding less experienced team members.
