Project Manager, Configuration Management (Aerospace)

Location: San Francisco, United States; onsite work at the Northern California headquarters

Base salary: $80,000–$125,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Create, maintain, and track Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and related PLM records.
• Review change submissions for completeness, accuracy, documentation, naming, revision-control, and release compliance.
• Coordinate ECO routing, approvals, and follow-up across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams.
• Identify stalled, incomplete, or inconsistent requests and work with stakeholders to keep them moving.
• Support the release and revision of parts, assemblies, drawings, bills of materials, and engineering documentation.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and metrics covering ECO throughput, backlog, cycle time, and data quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, information systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to perform high-accuracy, process-driven work.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort working with structured data, spreadsheets, and technical documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize effectively, and follow defined processes.
• US citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, quality, or configuration-management teams.
• Familiarity with PLM, ERP, document-control, ticketing, or workflow-management systems.
• Exposure to engineering drawings, BOMs, part numbers, revisions, or change-control processes.
• Interest in aerospace, satellites, or complex hardware development.
