Senior Manufacturing Engineer (3D Printing)

Location: Onsite 5 days a week at the Thomas Rd facility in Santa Clara, California

Salary: $137,600–$206,400 per year, with a midpoint of $172,000

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing operations for complex electromechanical and optical assemblies from development through production.
• Provide hands-on production-line support, troubleshoot line-down situations, and lead root-cause investigations through resolution.
• Develop new manufacturing processes and improve efficiency across existing production workflows.
• Design and build test fixtures and tooling for manufacturing and testing optimization.
• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain servers and PCAs.
• Create manufacturing documentation, collaborate with Design, Systems, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain, and train technicians and engineers.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, excluding internships, with the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using CAD tools to design fixtures and tooling.
• Experience troubleshooting complex electromechanical, optical, and pneumatic assemblies.
• Experience resolving production line-down issues and non-conformances using root-cause analysis techniques.
• Ability to create technical documentation such as SOPs and work instructions, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience troubleshooting equipment containing UV lasers and high-end optical systems.
• Experience in additive manufacturing or 3D printing production environments.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing systems and software.
