TL;DR
Manufacturing Engineer (Thermal Control Systems) (Aerospace): Developing and producing thermal control system hardware for artificial-gravity human-rated space stations with an accent on fluid loops, pumps, coldplates, heaters, tubing, and special manufacturing processes. Focus on authoring assembly procedures, troubleshooting builds with technicians, resolving nonconformances, and delivering flight hardware for vehicle integration.

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite. The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information, so the hired candidate must be a U.S. person or eligible for deemed export licensing.

Salary: $86,100–$122,220 for Manufacturing Engineer I or $112,340–$159,468 for Manufacturing Engineer II. The California pay range is $86,000–$159,000 USD.

Company

hirify.global develops and manufactures commercial space stations, spacecraft, satellites, and future crewed systems for space infrastructure and microgravity applications.

  • Hands-on hardware experience from employment, internships, co-ops, or student engineering projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Exposure to fluid-system manufacturing processes and inspection planning.
  • Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, CAD tools such as NX, and root cause analysis or corrective action.
  • Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing because the role involves U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in engineering.
  • Internship or co-op experience in aerospace, spacecraft, propulsion, thermal, fluid, or other high-reliability hardware.
  • Experience with design of experiments and troubleshooting builds directly with technicians.
