Engineer, Analytics Management - Power BI (Remote)

Location: Remote across the United States; the position is associated with Columbus, Ohio, and includes work-from-anywhere days and weeks within the U.S. remote arrangement.

Salary: $98,000–$118,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design and develop upstream database objects, Power BI semantic models, reports, dashboards, apps, and AI-enabled analytics solutions.
• Administer and support Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Power BI cloud analytics environments.
• Monitor platform usage, Fabric capacity, performance, reliability, and cost, and build notebook-based automation for dynamic capacity scaling.
• Define technical requirements and continuously improve BI tools, cloud technologies, operational processes, standards, and design patterns.
• Coordinate project estimates, status updates, delivery communications, and day-to-day support with engineering, project management, and business teams.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and support end users through new system implementations and change management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in BI engineering, specifically with Power BI.
• 2+ years of experience developing reporting-optimized database objects and views.
• Strong expertise with DAX and SQL and a strong understanding of data management principles.
• Experience administering or supporting Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Service, or similar cloud analytics platforms.
• Experience monitoring usage, capacity, performance, and reliability and creating automation with notebooks, scripts, or related technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, plus experience with analytics technologies in a large-scale organization.

Nice to have

• Retail industry experience focused on analytics, architecture, or business intelligence.
• Experience designing BI semantic-layer models in an Agile environment.
• Experience with new system implementations, change management, and support-focused work with end users.
