BI Engineer (Data Warehousing)

Location: US - IN - Carmel (hirify.global); onsite role

What you will do

• Own the Business Intelligence domain by surfacing insights, solving problems, and supporting data-driven decisions.
• Partner with Product, Sales, Operations, Data Engineering, and senior leadership stakeholders.
• Transform large datasets with SQL and scripting languages to generate business insights.
• Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and other experiments.
• Build scalable data models, dashboards, reports, predictive models, and trend analyses.
• Improve data pipelines, infrastructure, analytical capabilities, and data-driven practices while mentoring colleagues.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT development and data pipeline management.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or Scala.
• Strong foundation in data modeling, governance, dataset structuring, visualization, dashboarding, and advanced spreadsheets.
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Looker or Domo.
• Understanding of cloud-based data architectures and security best practices.
• Experience creating and implementing data governance strategies.
• Background in data science or machine learning applications.
• Familiarity with API integrations and automation techniques.
