Senior Business Intelligence Developer (Aerospace and Defense)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, in an office or hybrid environment. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Estimated starting salary: $124,771.42–$171,560.71 per year, plus performance-based annual incentive pay.

What you will do

• Define and execute the organization’s Business Intelligence strategy and initiatives.
• Oversee the design and implementation of complex, enterprise-scale BI solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, security, governance, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align BI solutions with organizational goals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to BI developers, including junior team members.
• Represent the organization at industry conferences and forums.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related role; 12 years may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Expert proficiency with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex and highly optimized queries, relational databases, ETL, data integration, and data warehousing.
• Experience with application development and data governance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, BI or data analytics certification, and aerospace or defense industry experience.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, Cognos, QlikView, TIBCO Spotfire, SAP BusinessObjects, or SAP Crystal Reports.
• Advanced Power BI skills, including OLAP and tabular data modeling, DAX, Power Query, dashboards, workspace management, and role-level security.
• Experience with SSIS, SSAS, stored procedures, Python, Scala, PySpark, R, data profiling, Agile methodologies, or multiple development methodologies.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
