System Administrator II (AWS)

Location: San Diego, CA; onsite. U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. government personnel security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Provision, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and sustain AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, and EventBridge.
• Administer Linux and Windows workstations, enterprise servers, virtual machines, system software, users, groups, permissions, and group policies.
• Develop and execute infrastructure-as-code automation, primarily with Ansible Playbooks, and support automated deployment and CI/CD workflows.
• Maintain operating system patches and system compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guide requirements.
• Scan systems and help remediate vulnerabilities using ACAS and related information assurance tools.
• Document configurations and troubleshooting, execute build test frameworks, monitor resources, and resolve complex technical issues.

Requirements

• Active U.S. national security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain the required U.S. government clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• CompTIA Security+ certification, or the ability to obtain it after hire.
• 2–5 years of system administration experience with Linux, Windows Server, virtualization, AWS or Azure, and automation scripting.
• Experience with STIGs, ACAS, ENS/HBSS, system security, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience providing user support and administering enterprise systems.

Nice to have

• Cloud certification such as CompTIA Cloud+, ISC2 CCSP, or VMware Cloud Service Solutions.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Active Directory, AWS IAM, OpenAM, Keycloak, AWS Systems Manager, or Azure Monitor.
