Program Manager (Healthcare Education)

Salary: CAD 7,727.33–11,112.00 monthly

The Faculty of Medicine’s Division of Continuing Professional Development supports physicians and other health professionals across British Columbia through education, courses, and learning opportunities focused on practice improvement, patient care, and healthcare delivery.

What you will do

• Lead one or more complex educational programs and projects from initiation through completion.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, work plans, tracking tools, risk-management plans, and status reports.
• Design and deliver educational programming based on learner needs, accreditation standards, and quality-improvement goals.
• Plan and oversee evaluation strategies, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Build relationships with medical directors, project sponsors, healthcare organizations, professional associations, regulatory colleges, and other partners.
• Manage operating budgets, funding proposals, project resources, staff performance, and team assignments.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Education and at least six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in educational programming and knowledge of effective instructional design.
• Ability to manage complex projects and programs, prioritize work, resolve problems, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to manage budgets, organizational resources, staff performance, and project operations.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational, and stakeholder-communication skills.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and respectful engagement with diverse perspectives.

Nice to have

• Formal training in project management.
• Formal training in program evaluation.
• Experience connecting with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of information technologies and communications tools.
