What you will do
- Monitor current affairs across the AMER region to identify industrial fires, geopolitical crises, natural disasters, labor strikes, customs issues, port congestion, and cargo disruptions.
- Analyze incoming data streams for relevance and potential impact on supply chains and customer operations.
- Prepare time-sensitive risk alerts using open-source articles and exclusive or proprietary sources.
- Write long-form analytical reports on the projected supply chain impact of disruptive events.
- Provide actionable recommendations that help clients respond and adapt to identified risks.
- Support additional research and writing activities in collaboration with colleagues across functions and regions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, or another social science discipline.
- 1–2 years of relevant work experience, including internships.
- Proficient written and spoken English with error-free writing ability.
- Strong interest in current affairs and news, including socioeconomic and political dynamics in the AMER region.
- Basic understanding of supply chain processes and the ability to assess their exposure to external shocks.
- Ability to work in a global, fast-paced environment, manage uncertainty, and collaborate across cultural differences.
