What you will do

• Troubleshoot complex manufacturing equipment and automation systems, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Design and improve manufacturing processes, machinery, tooling, and production equipment.
• Support capital equipment projects from specifications and vendor coordination through installation, commissioning, and startup.
• Improve equipment reliability, uptime, throughput, OEE, safety, quality, and operating costs.
• Support automation and controls projects involving PLCs, sensors, motion control systems, robotics, and industrial networks.
• Develop equipment standards, technical documentation, preventive maintenance strategies, risk assessments, and engineering procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing operations, industrial automation, or production equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electromechanical systems, industrial controls, motors, sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Experience with PLC-based automation troubleshooting, reliability engineering, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis.
• Experience managing capital projects and coordinating with equipment vendors and contractors; proficiency with CAD software and technical documentation.
• Experience applying AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT to engineering workflows, with willingness to adopt emerging AI technologies.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and manufacturing performance metrics.
