Sr. HR Business Partner (Aerospace and Defense)

Location: Onsite at the Torrey Pines site in San Diego, California

Salary: $130,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Serve as a strategic HR partner to leaders and employees across multiple international regions.
• Advise managers on employee relations, performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, organizational change, and employment practices.
• Lead or support policy development, organizational transformation, leadership development, and culture-building initiatives.
• Facilitate talent development sessions and create HR training focused on performance management and review processes.
• Partner with talent acquisition and business leaders on hiring decisions, compensation analysis, internal equity, merit planning, bonuses, and offers.
• Analyze HR data using Excel and other tools to identify trends, improve engagement, reduce turnover, and provide recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Training, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience with a recognized HR certificate.
• 10 or more years of progressive professional experience in a corporate Human Resources department.
• Experience supporting global HR initiatives across multiple countries or regions.
• Strong knowledge of federal and California employment laws, international employment practices, employee relations, compliance, and HR best practices.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts, data analysis, and reporting.
• Ability to influence, coach, and guide employees, managers, senior leaders, and external stakeholders while handling confidential information.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, technology, engineering, manufacturing, or another highly regulated environment.
• Experience supporting senior leadership teams in a matrixed or global organization.
• Background in organizational design, leadership development, culture transformation, and change management.
• HR certification such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR.
