Sr. HR Business Partner

Location: On-site in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States

Salary: $125,000–$160,000 base compensation per year

What you will do

• Partner with Growth leaders to align workforce planning, talent priorities, and HR strategies with business objectives.
• Advise leaders on employee relations, policy interpretation, issue resolution, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.
• Support hiring, onboarding, offboarding, retention, career development, compensation, and succession planning.
• Lead and support organizational change, cultural integration, employee communication, and leadership alignment.
• Identify talent opportunities and challenges, develop high-potential employees, and build future leadership pipelines.
• Collaborate across HR and the wider organization while responding to urgent business priorities and assignments.

Requirements

• 8 or more years of progressive HR experience supporting geographically distributed employee populations.
• 3 or more years supporting Growth or commercial functions such as sales, marketing, business development, producer, or revenue-driving teams.
• Deep knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and organizational behavior.
• Experience with workforce planning, talent reviews, succession planning, complex employee relations, and change management.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Comfort with an on-site presence in Grand Rapids is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in finance or insurance.
• SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent HR certification.
• Familiarity with Workday and Microsoft products.
