Supply Engineering Team Lead (Glass)

Location: Remote or on-site in New York, New York; Charlotte, North Carolina; Early Branch, South Carolina; Greenwood, South Carolina; McCormick, South Carolina; or Dallas, Texas, United States. Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four Supply Engineers, assigning work, prioritizing workloads, reviewing outputs, and providing coaching.
• Coordinate glass, hardware, and material procurement to launch production and ensure readiness before production and container arrivals.
• Plan inventory levels, forecast procurement needs, and prepare material lists from technical drawings and specifications.
• Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules while resolving supplier quality, logistics, and delivery issues.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, Engineers, Estimators, Warehouse, and Installation teams on engineering changes, substitutions, pricing, and procurement planning.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within glass, glazing systems, architectural hardware, or a closely related industry.
• At least 3 years of direct people-management experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply teams.
• Experience building or scaling procurement or sourcing functions, including workflows, supplier standards, reporting, KPIs, team structures, policies, and operating procedures.
• Experience with international suppliers, sourcing glass and related components, supplier negotiations, pricing, lead times, quality issues, and supply risks.
• Experience with international logistics, import/export, customs, cross-border procurement, and interpreting technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Fluent English is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and PDF tools is also required.
