Counsel, Telecommunications (Starlink)

Location: London, England, United Kingdom; onsite attendance is required. Remote and hybrid work will not be considered.

Develops AI systems and operates Starlink, a satellite constellation delivering low-latency broadband internet worldwide.

What you will do

• Advise Starlink on telecommunications, internet-service, and related regulations across Europe and parts of Africa.
• Analyze legal and regulatory risks and communicate them to business and technical teams.
• Support telecommunications and other business licensing activities.
• Monitor legal and policy developments affecting the Starlink business.
• Interface periodically with governmental agencies on regulatory, consumer protection, and law enforcement matters.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience handling regulatory compliance matters in the telecommunications industry, particularly broadband or satellite services.
• Juris Doctor, Bachelor of Laws, or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• Active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
• Must be based onsite in London; remote and hybrid work are not available.
• Availability to work extended hours and weekends when needed.

Nice to have

• Fluency in French and/or Portuguese.
• Knowledge of telecommunications business and regulatory issues outside the United States.
• Experience managing legal issues for a high-growth multinational company.
