Professional Services Explorer Intern - Summer 2027 (Cybersecurity)

Location: Arlington, Virginia, USA; in-person attendance at the CrowdStrike Arlington office three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday. The internship runs from June 2, 2027, through August 20, 2027, with 40 hours per week during standard business hours.

What you will do

• Rotate through Incident Response, Red Team, and Strategic Advisory Services teams.
• Learn how cyber attacks involving ransomware, data theft, cloud compromise, and advanced persistent threats are investigated and addressed.
• Study adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures used to identify weaknesses in technology and security processes.
• Support proactive security activities, including tabletop exercises and assessments to prevent and detect threat actor activity.
• Attend sessions with adjacent teams including Falcon OverWatch, Falcon Complete, and Counter Adversary Operations.
• Use AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Requirements

• Must be entering the penultimate year of a full Bachelor's degree program, with expected graduation in May or June 2029.
• Interest in pursuing a career in cybersecurity and foundational knowledge gained through research, education, or work experience.
• Ability and willingness to communicate frequently with internal colleagues and external customers.
• Ability to demonstrate interest in learning and growing in cybersecurity; prior professional experience is not required.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making and streamline workflows.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with command-line interfaces on Windows, Linux, or macOS.
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
• Knowledge of Windows forensic analysis methodology.
• Familiarity with tools and strategies for analyzing large log sets, such as Splunk or ELK.
• Investigative mindset, interest in vulnerabilities and breaches, and ability to complete technical tasks with limited supervision.
