2027 Technology Summer Internship – Cybersecurity & Technology Risk

Location: Boston, United States; daily in-office presence required

Salary: $25/hour plus sign-on bonus

What you will do

• Use scanning, monitoring, detection, and analytics tools to identify vulnerabilities, suspicious activity, configuration risks, and cyber threats.
• Support security investigations, alert triage, incident documentation, escalation, containment, recovery, and prevention.
• Analyze threat actors, malware, phishing, identity attacks, vulnerabilities, indicators of compromise, and adversary techniques.
• Contribute to threat intelligence assessments, threat hunting preparation, and risk-based prioritization.
• Support web, network, application, and configuration security, including traffic analysis, secure coding, hardening, vulnerability remediation, and data-exfiltration prevention.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, application, risk, vendor, audit, and regulatory teams to document controls and improve cybersecurity maturity.

Requirements

• Current junior in college entering senior year in fall 2027, studying Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Strong academic achievement; a GPA of 3.3 or higher is preferred.
• Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly, collaborate effectively, demonstrate initiative, and manage multiple priorities.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work daily from the Boston office.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of phishing, malware, vulnerabilities, identity, network, endpoint security, SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, proxies, email security, scanners, threat intelligence, or DLP.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, OWASP Top 10, DevSecOps, intelligence cycles, or risk methodologies.
• Experience with Splunk SPL, Microsoft KQL, SQL, Python, PowerShell, Bash, Power BI, Jira, workflow tools, or cloud security technologies.
• Cybersecurity coursework, labs, clubs, capture-the-flag activities, projects, internships, or entry-level certifications.
