Enterprise Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States

Salary: $300,000–$405,000 per year for U.S.-based positions; international compensation is based on the local market. Equity is offered.

What you will do

• Set technical direction and guide architecture decisions across the enterprise platform.
• Build systems for enterprise identity, security, governance, integrations, data access, and connector activation.
• Shape roadmaps with product and design while translating customer needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Maintain high standards for reliability, code quality, testing, and maintainability; lead incident response and safe platform migrations.
• Represent engineering in enterprise customer discussions and partner with sales and customer success to remove adoption barriers.
• Hire, onboard, mentor, and develop a rapidly growing engineering team in collaboration with recruiting and the co-founders.

Requirements

• Strong technical judgment and experience building enterprise platforms or products.
• Domain expertise in enterprise control planes, enterprise data planes, connector platforms, semantic data layers, or connector marketplaces.
• Ability to balance customer needs, technical quality, reliability, security, usability, and long-term maintainability.
• Experience translating enterprise requirements into technical priorities and making clear tradeoff decisions.
• Experience building and managing high-performing engineering teams, including feedback, 1:1s, career development, recruiting, and retention.
• 8+ years of engineering experience, including at least 4 years as an engineering manager.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML products or enterprise AI adoption.
• Experience scaling enterprise platforms at a startup.
