What you will do

• Own technical direction and architecture decisions for your team’s domain ensuring scalable, high-quality systems.
• Build, coach, and grow a team of engineers, managing hiring and performance cycles.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and data science to define roadmaps and ship impactful features.
• Manage the full development lifecycle from ideation to launch, removing blockers and balancing priorities.
• Champion engineering best practices including code quality and robust testing.
• Contribute to the mission of enabling creative fulfillment through AI-powered music tools.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Onsite presence required in Boston or New York City offices.
• 5–7 years managing software engineering teams with a track record of shipping consumer products.
• Strong technical foundation with hands-on coding and architectural guidance.
• Experience collaborating with product, design, and data science teams to deliver features.
• Ability to hire, develop, and retain engineering talent.
• Experience building and operating scalable production systems.
• Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Forward-looking perspective on integrating AI and agentic coding into engineering workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience at consumer tech or creator-platform companies.
• Background in both large organizations and high-growth startups.
• Familiarity with AI/ML product development.
• Working knowledge of Python, TypeScript, consumer media, or real-time systems.
