Salary: $54,450–$68,330 per year; proposed minimum salary of $4,537.50 per month

What you will do
- Advise MD and graduate students on program requirements, academic processes, career goals, and available support resources.
- Monitor academic progress, degree requirements, residency interviews, clerkship and elective schedules, and completion of graduation requirements.
- Maintain accurate student records, contact documentation, enrollment rosters, and registration changes.
- Develop advising materials, resources, policies, and procedures for graduate programs.
- Coordinate advising events, class and group meetings, the Peer Tutoring Program, and the annual elective fair.
- Evaluate and improve advising practices using department and student feedback and program outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least three years of related experience in higher education, advising, or a related field.
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, student information, degree planning, and degree audit applications.
- Strong written communication, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, multitasking, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work onsite in Bryan, Texas, with occasional travel and possible work beyond normal office hours or on weekends.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in education, counseling, or a related field.
- Five years of advising or related experience.
- Experience advising or coordinating health professions education programs.
