Medical Assistant-OBGYN Full Time Days (MedTech)

Location: Lake Forest Hospital campus, Lake Forest, Illinois, with travel to the Glenview Outpatient facility. Full-time, onsite day position requiring 40 hours per week; start time between 7:45 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

Salary: $18.98–$25.62 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, document visit information, and support efficient patient flow.
• Assist practitioners with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure trays, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, stock, and maintain examination rooms, medical equipment, instruments, vaccines, and medications.
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, nurses, and other members of the care team in person and by phone.
• Perform delegated procedures for the OBGYN specialty and follow clinic safety, opening, closing, and supply-management procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current eligible medical assistant certification or documented eligibility to take an approved certification examination; certification must be obtained within six months of employment.
• American Heart Association-accredited BLS/CPR certification.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during day shifts and travel to the Glenview Outpatient facility.

Nice to have

• Previous obstetric experience.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
