BOC Oncology Nurse Navigator (Oncology): Providing individualized oncology guidance, education, care coordination, and psychosocial support for patients and caregivers across the cancer care continuum with an accent on evidence-based nursing and patient-centered navigation. Focus on coordinating transitions between treatment stages, facilitating referrals, supporting treatment and end-of-life decisions, and monitoring program outcomes.
Location: Boston, Massachusetts; hybrid work with 2–3 onsite days per week
Salary: $44.14–$109.51 per hour

What you will do
- Provide oncology nursing care for a defined patient population through assessment, education, coordination, documentation, and follow-up.
- Guide patients, families, and caregivers through treatment, survivorship, chronic cancer management, and end-of-life care.
- Coordinate referrals, triage calls, psychosocial support, and communication between patients and healthcare providers.
- Advocate for shared decision-making, individualized goals of care, and culturally responsive patient-centered outcomes.
- Participate in program development, quality improvement, research, outcome tracking, and strategic planning.
- Monitor patient safety, regulatory compliance, and evidence-based nursing standards.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or, as appropriate, the State of New Hampshire required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred.
- Associate-degree nurses must complete a BSN within four years.
- Completion of the Oncology Nurse Residency Program or one year of recent Registered Nurse experience.
- AHA Basic Life Support certification required; AHA ACLS is accepted as the minimum requirement.
- Critical thinking, communication, organization, problem-solving, independent decision-making, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Ambulatory or oncology nursing experience.
- Professional nursing certification such as OCN, BMTCN, CPHON, AOCNP, CRNI, or RN-BC.
