TL;DR
Lean Manager II (Manufacturing): Establishing Lean systems, processes, and culture for a new manufacturing facility supporting Data Center Solutions with an accent on continuous improvement, operational performance, and team development. Focus on leading Kaizen events, value stream mapping, root cause problem solving, automated production processes, and building sustainable management systems for facility expansion.

Location: Onsite in Blaine, Minnesota, United States. Onboarding and training will take place at facilities in Blaine or Anoka until the new Lexington Preserve facility opens in 2027.

Compensation range: $105,000–$195,000 per year, with potential eligibility for annual incentives.

What you will do

  • Lead the facility Lean strategy and continuous improvement initiatives across productivity, quality, material flow, and operational performance.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and Automation teams to improve manufacturing results.
  • Build a multi-year continuous improvement roadmap supporting facility expansion and business objectives.
  • Lead and develop a Lean team initially consisting of a Continuous Improvement Lead and Lean Technician.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, root cause problem solving, and waste elimination activities.
  • Establish Lean management systems including visual management, standard work, daily management, Kanban, and performance tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience implementing Lean, continuous improvement, or operational excellence initiatives in manufacturing.
  • Hands-on manufacturing experience with production operations, material flow, and shop-floor improvement implementation.
  • Experience facilitating Kaizen events and delivering measurable process improvements.
  • Knowledge of Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, 5S, Daily Management, and Root Cause Problem Solving.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

  • At least 1 year of people leadership experience.
  • Experience with automated equipment, automated cells, conveyors, or similar production technologies.
