Manager, Materials Managment (Aerospace)

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Own inbound and outbound logistics, including dock operations, freight coordination, and intercompany shipments.
• Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure accurate and timely material flow to the factory.
• Build and improve work order fulfillment, picking, kitting, and line-side delivery processes.
• Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs and improve logistics efficiency.
• Establish and track logistics KPIs, including dock-to-stock time, on-time delivery, transaction accuracy, and freight cost.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives involving material pull systems and value stream mapping.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
• Strong expertise in receiving, material movement, picking, and kitting operations.
• Hands-on experience using ERP systems for materials transactions.
• Strong internal customer orientation, cross-functional collaboration skills, and knowledge of logistics fundamentals.

Nice to have

• APICS CPIM certification.
• Experience with export regulations and intercompany logistics.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
• Experience managing high-volume operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with project management tools and structured execution.
