Manager, Materials (Manufacturing)

Location: Corona, CA, USA; on-site role

Base salary: $100,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead procurement, production planning, inventory control, receiving, stockroom organization, shipping, and supplier coordination.
• Coordinate materials execution across Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Quality, and Field Service throughout the equipment project lifecycle.
• Improve planning, material readiness, inventory accuracy, bill-of-material accuracy, stockroom organization, and schedule adherence.
• Qualify and manage suppliers for quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness, and technical capability.
• Establish KPIs covering supplier delivery, inventory accuracy, shortages, inventory turns, material availability, and shipping performance.
• Lead and develop buyers, planners, inventory control, receiving, stockroom, and shipping personnel while driving Lean continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of materials management, supply chain, production planning, purchasing, or inventory control experience in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of supervisory or people leadership experience in a manufacturing, materials, supply chain, warehouse, or operations environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, operations management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Working knowledge of procurement, MRP/ERP planning, inventory control, cycle counting, supplier management, production scheduling, and shipping/receiving.
• ERP/MRP experience required; Syteline or similar manufacturing ERP experience preferred.
• Experience with custom machinery, packaging machinery, industrial equipment, machining/fabrication, or engineered-to-order manufacturing is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Lean Manufacturing training or experience with 5S, visual management, standard work, root-cause analysis, and KPI management.
• Advanced Excel and reporting experience for operational decision-making.
