Senior Manager, Operations

Location: Remote, Illinois, United States; 75% travel required to assigned regional locations.

What you will do

• Lead and develop Service Center Managers across allocated RPM Service Centers.
• Oversee daily operations, production metrics, financial performance, safety, quality, and customer expectations.
• Drive standard operating procedures, continuous improvement, employee development, and succession planning.
• Conduct site visits and audits while collaborating with Safety, Quality, Human Resources, Commercial, Engineering, Finance, customers, and vendors.
• Scope, solution, and cost new opportunities involving buildings, labor, equipment, and automation.
• Plan and project-manage implementations through successful and profitable startup.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of direct oversight and management experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree is desired.
• Must be able to read and comprehend instructions, safety rules, manuals, and product information in English.
• Proven understanding of safety and OSHA-compliant processes.
• Intermediate financial knowledge for managing budgets and financial statements.
• At least 3 years of experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, and process improvement.
• Valid driver’s license, motor vehicle report, and company-approved forklift operator certification required.

Nice to have

• Experience overseeing multiple remote locations.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Supply chain experience in transportation, reverse logistics, cleaning and sanitation, or asset tracking.
• Bilingual communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree.
