What you will do

• Deliver machinist career technical training using varied instructional approaches and maintain a motivating, disciplined classroom environment.
• Prepare lesson plans and align curriculum with industry standards and the Training Achievement Record.
• Evaluate student progress, maintain attendance and training records, complete required forms, and prepare operational reports.
• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly classrooms and shops while following applicable procedures and safety practices.
• Support students in earning primary and secondary credentials and pursuing employment, military service, college, apprenticeships, or advanced training.
• Build industry partnerships that support work-based learning, internships, and job placement outcomes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree is preferred.
• Vocational trade experience preferred.
• Must be certified, licensed, or accredited in the state where the center is located, or accredited by a professional trade organization.
• Experience working with diverse youth.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to model employability skills, maintain accountability, and uphold a respectful, harassment-free learning environment.
