Nursing Faculty (Mental Health)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States; onsite teaching in classroom, online, clinical, laboratory, and simulation settings, including flexible evening and weekend classes.

Salary: $75,000–$95,000 per year. The position includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Teach assigned nursing courses across classroom, online, clinical, lab, and simulation formats.
• Create engaging learning experiences using technology, evidence-based methods, learning management systems, and simulation equipment.
• Evaluate student performance, provide timely feedback, and deliver remediation when needed.
• Lead or support clinical, laboratory, and simulation learning to connect theory with safe, ethical, professional practice.
• Mentor students and new faculty while contributing to committees, graduation activities, program evaluation, service, and scholarship.
• Maintain teaching, subject-matter, regulatory, and professional practice knowledge through ongoing development.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in nursing required; a PhD in an appropriate field is preferred.
• Current, unencumbered professional nurse licensure in Texas, or eligibility to obtain it, is required.
• At least two years of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience or expertise with learning management systems, simulation equipment, online platforms, and increasingly AI-supported teaching.
• Strong communication, initiative, judgment, conflict management, collaboration, and emotional and social intelligence.
• Credentials and compliance requirements must meet applicable state authorization, licensing, and clinical practice regulations.

Nice to have

• PhD in a field appropriate to the teaching profession.
• Experience researching, applying, and disseminating new knowledge in nursing practice or education.
