Teacher Assistant (K-12 Education)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, USA; onsite school-based role

What you will do

• Assist teachers with classroom instruction, assessments, grading, and daily administrative support.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring, interventions, and student support.
• Potentially teach small groups and observe experienced teachers to strengthen instructional and classroom-management techniques.
• Supervise students during transitions, meals, afterschool periods, events, trips, and other school activities.
• Communicate with students, families, and colleagues while supporting student behavior and serving as an advisor to a small group.
• Participate in annual staff orientation and training.

Requirements

• Passion for working with K-12 students and commitment to improving students' lives.
• Self-motivation, personal responsibility, teamwork, flexibility, and willingness to learn and adapt.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Prior school or urban-community experience is preferred but not required.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required; an education background is not required.
