Operational Risk Management Senior Advisor (Enterprise Risk): Evaluating enterprise and operational risks, developing risk assessment frameworks, and advising senior leadership on risk-informed decisions with an accent on quantitative analysis, emerging-risk detection, and regulatory support. Focus on designing risk models and systems, tracking mitigation plans, and presenting enterprise risks to executives, the Board of Directors, and the Audit Committee.
Location: Rosemead, California, US; hybrid work with required residence in California and regular reporting to an SCE facility. Up to 25% travel and field work throughout the SCE service territory. Relocation does not apply.
Salary: $161,700–$242,600 per year

What you will do
- Evaluate enterprise, operational, emerging, and business-level risks through quantitative analysis and risk assessments.
- Scan internal and external environments, assess likelihood and impact, and recommend strategies to reduce exposure and losses.
- Partner with business units, management, regulators, and senior leadership to define risk initiatives, goals, mitigation plans, and execution activities.
- Implement and maintain risk management software, systems, data processes, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor key enterprise risks and prepare materials for senior management, the Board of Directors, and the Audit Committee.
- Provide technical guidance for risk-related regulatory proceedings, filings, applications, workshops, and hearings.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience evaluating enterprise or major operational risks through quantitative analysis, data analytics, risk or hazard assessment, loss control, public safety, or engineering-related technical project management.
- Experience with engineering applications such as safety, fire protection, or statistics.
- Ability to work and reside in California and report to an SCE facility under the hybrid work arrangement.
- Ability to travel and perform field work for up to 25% of the time.
- Strong communication skills with senior and C-suite executives.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree or higher in engineering, science, construction, quantitative analysis, risk management, loss control, or human factors engineering.
- Professional certification such as Professional Engineer, Project Management Professional, SCP, RIMS-CRMP, Loss Control, NFPA, or another relevant enterprise risk accreditation.
- Experience in an electrical utility or another highly regulated or high-impact environment.
