Audit Manager - Title IV

Location: Chicago, Illinois or Naperville, Illinois, United States; hybrid or remote

Salary: $106,502.27–$153,016.50 annually, with a midpoint of $131,250.37

What you will do

• Oversee multiple client audit engagements and manage delivery against budgets and timelines.
• Lead audit strategy, planning, walkthroughs, risk assessment, team management, and client presentations.
• Review higher-risk audit areas for technical accuracy, completeness, appropriate evidence, and sound conclusions.
• Provide recommendations on complex business processes and controls while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Coach, mentor, supervise, and conduct performance reviews for audit and assurance staff.
• Support recruiting, training, professional development, and new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience, including management experience.
• 3+ years leading teams and audit engagements.
• Strong technical accounting skills, including US GAAP and GAAS.
• Leadership, recruiting, training, mentoring, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and audit preparation software; CPA certification or eligibility to sit is highly desirable.
