Risk Analyst, Expert - OGO/Sacramento (Electric Operations Compliance)

Location: Hybrid role based in Oakland or Sacramento, California

Salary: $122,000–$194,000 per year for the Bay Area locality

What you will do

• Provide risk management and compliance expertise to Electric Operations.
• Maintain compliance risk registers and coordinate updates with asset stakeholders and risk champions.
• Identify, assess, and monitor regulatory and compliance risks across federal and state requirements.
• Develop and monitor mitigation activities, compliance controls, processes, tools, and metrics.
• Partner with Internal Audit, Regulatory Affairs, subject matter experts, and enterprise risk functions.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, develop business cases, and present risk mitigation alternatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Seven years of experience in risk management, utility operations, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of risk analysis and assessment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across organizational levels.
• Ability to collaborate across functions, facilitate decision-making, synthesize complex issues, and handle confidential information.

Nice to have

• Master's degree.
• Knowledge of gas or electric operations.
• Project management skills and experience engaging subject matter experts in problem-solving teams.
• Experience coaching less experienced risk analysts.
