Buyer/Planner (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid schedule in Niagara Falls, NY, with the role also available in East Aurora, NY; occasional travel to the Niagara Falls site may be required.

Salary: $28.85–$38.46 per hour.

What you will do

• Represent supply chain as a procurement specialist across multiple business areas.
• Create and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities and categories.
• Negotiate supplier pricing and terms to reduce costs and supply-chain risks.
• Monitor supplier performance, on-time delivery, quality metrics, purchase orders, and delivery dates.
• Collaborate with planning, production, and engineering on component gating, kit releases, forecasting, and procurement lead times.
• Lead cross-functional problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives to remove supply constraints.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations, or a related field, or an associate’s degree with at least two years of procurement or planning experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to complete a full physical examination, including bloodwork and pulmonary function testing.
• The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or professional certification.
• Experience with Power BI.
• Experience supporting lean manufacturing.
