Solution Architect – Payments

Location: London, UK; hybrid working from the London office

A fintech company providing a payment orchestration platform for airlines, travel brands, hospitality companies, and other enterprise merchants.

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery workshops and solution design sessions with prospective and existing customers.
• Support enterprise sales opportunities, RFPs, and customer presentations.
• Design payment architectures covering orchestration, acquiring, routing, and payment methods.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and API-based integration designs.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to validate technical feasibility and deliverability.
• Present technical solutions and provide guidance throughout the customer lifecycle.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Technical Pre-Sales, or Technical Consulting.
• At least 4 years of experience in the payments industry.
• Strong knowledge of payment orchestration, PSPs, acquiring, payment routing, Visa, Mastercard, and alternative payment methods.
• Experience designing API-based enterprise integrations and producing solution designs, architecture documentation, and technical proposals.
• Ability to engage with business and technical stakeholders and explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup from the London office.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with a payment orchestration platform.
• Experience in the airline, travel, or hospitality industries.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, PSD2, Open Banking, and 3DS2.
