Director, Program Management (Autonomous Defense Systems)

Location: Simi Valley, California, United States; onsite office and R&D environment. Travel within the continental U.S. and internationally may be required.

Salary: $139,000–$212,000 per year

What you will do

• Own and lead a loitering munition product line across its full lifecycle, from inception through production and sunset.
• Define product strategies, roadmaps, requirements, pricing, positioning, and preferred features.
• Lead new product introduction activities with engineering and operations and align execution with go-to-market plans.
• Work with customers on operational concepts, problem statements, pursuits, proposals, and contract negotiations.
• Prioritize projects and trade-offs while balancing product needs, resources, R&D, and sustainment activities.
• Lead product-line budgeting, evaluate markets and risks, and guide execution teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• 15+ years of relevant experience, including bringing three major systems to market in low-rate or full-rate production.
• Experience managing profit and loss, development budgets, product roadmaps, R&D, and product sustainment.
• Knowledge of weapon systems and experience delivering mature systems to domestic and international customers.
• Experience managing teams, multiple projects, executive presentations, and business or proposal efforts.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or protected individual with asylee/refugee status; the role is subject to ITAR/EAR requirements.
