Location: Herndon, Virginia, United States. Work predominantly in an office environment with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements; travel, including international travel, may be required. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance are required.
Estimated starting salary: $210,124.21–$288,920.79 per year, plus performance-based annual incentive pay.

What you will do
- Lead business-area program management processes, PMO templates, gate reviews, standards, tools, analytics, and automated reporting.
- Guide program planning and execution across cost, schedule, technical objectives, budgets, forecasts, proposals, and contract requirements.
- Oversee risk and opportunity management, program health assessments, compliance reviews, surveillance cadence, and corrective actions.
- Support EVMS readiness for IBRs, JSRs, surveillances, baselining, variance analysis, EAC/ETC, and DFARS/CAS requirements.
- Mentor Program Managers, CAMs, and IPM staff while building capability, accountability, and consistent execution practices.
- Represent the business area in corporate forums and coordinate priorities with executive leadership, Corporate IPM, finance, engineering, and other functions.
Requirements
- 10–12 years of directly relevant aerospace or defense program management experience, including 7+ years owning cost, schedule, and technical performance on complex programs.
- Experience leading full-lifecycle programs in highly regulated environments and coaching teams on CAM responsibilities and EVMS requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence Program Managers and cross-functional teams, including without direct reporting authority.
- Expertise in proposals, BOEs, business cases, specifications, ROMs, resource coordination, financial performance, and executive communication.
- Understanding of FAR, DFARS, CAS, EVMS, program governance, risk management, and corrective-action processes.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Secret U.S. security clearance are required.
Nice to have
- PMP, EVP, and/or PMI-SP certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Deltek Cobra, or Power BI.
- Prior IBR, JSR, internal surveillance, and hands-on EVMS program ownership experience.
- Management, recruiting, staff development, aerospace, defense, NASA, military, intelligence, or commercial space experience.
