Engineering Technician II (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; onsite, 1st shift. Relocation is not available.

Salary: $21.50–$29.20 per hour

What you will do

• Perform routine to moderately complex design, testing, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, subsystems, components, prototypes, specialized test equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Perform new system and NPI installations, field upgrades, rework, and quality notifications.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on hirify.global platforms according to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
• Prepare logbooks and test procedure documentation and work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, and written or verbal instructions.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, secure, and healthy work environment, including cleanroom and PPE requirements.

Requirements

• Analytical skills and the ability to apply scientific methods to varied technical activities.
• Ability to recognize and solve typical problems using established procedures or scientific methods.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and operate equipment such as forklifts or other heavy machinery.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work in tight spaces while bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and lifting.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work in environments with potentially high noise levels.
• Ability to use required cleanroom and safety PPE, including coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
