Forecasting Specialist (Walmart)

Location: Rogers, Arkansas, United States. Hybrid schedule: in-office Monday–Thursday and work from home on Fridays.

Salary: $94,000–$118,000 annual base pay.

What you will do

• Lead item-level sales trend analysis and POS forecasting for the Walmart account and assigned brands.
• Build collaborative forecasts using consumer demand, product history, inventory, marketing programs, seasonality, promotions, distribution, and price-point data.
• Create weekly shipping plans by item and channel to support retailer in-stock levels and future order needs.
• Present demand insights in internal consensus meetings and collaborate with Sales, S&OP teams, buyers, and replenishment managers.
• Improve order fulfillment by reviewing daily orders, maintaining purchase orders, and optimizing fill rates.
• Direct direct-import execution from Asia in partnership with the Hong Kong Customer Service team.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in sales analysis, merchandise buying, or planning.
• Direct forecasting experience in a highly seasonal environment with long lead times.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience analyzing large datasets from multiple sources and producing actionable reports.
• Knowledge of demand forecasting tools and cross-functional forecasting processes, such as JDA, SAP, Demantra, or Anaplan.
• Strong analytical, communication, business judgment, and process-improvement skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in consumer packaged goods or retail.
• Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, BigQuery, or other database programs.
• Experience with statistical forecasting techniques, systems applications, and model building.
