Sr. Merchandise Planner (Toys)

Location: Hybrid role based at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, Massachusetts; Tuesday through Thursday in-office and Monday and Friday remote.

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop monthly financial plans and department-level forecasts for the toys category.
• Build assortment, sales, inventory, flow, and article-level ladder plans aligned with category strategy.
• Analyze sales, market, and inventory trends to identify opportunities, risks, markdowns, and promotions.
• Manage demand forecasts in JDA Demand and Fulfill to optimize ordering and inventory flow.
• Oversee allocation direction to ensure the right products reach the right retail channels at the right time.
• Lead cross-functional planning projects, including scope definition, timelines, execution, and training.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of sales, margin, inventory turns, and weeks-of-supply metrics.
• Strong problem-solving, retail mathematics, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with buyers, allocation partners, and business stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with planning software.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and onboard team members.
