Label Production Manager (Printing)

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; onsite production role

Salary: $95,000–$110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications

What you will do

• Lead the Mississauga label production team and build accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous learning.
• Oversee daily production, scheduling, demand planning, quality, productivity, lead times, and on-time performance.
• Manage labour, overtime, waste, production expenditures, inventory flow, and operational resources within budget.
• Hire, train, mentor, and develop press operators and production support staff, including performance management and workforce planning.
• Use ERP data and reporting tools to identify trends, strengthen controls, and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Estimating, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Shipping/Receiving, and maintenance stakeholders to resolve issues and support reliable operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a production environment with demonstrated success leading teams and delivering results.
• Experience implementing process controls and standards, reducing cycle times, improving quality, and applying continuous improvement practices.
• Experience managing workflow from raw material inventory through staging, production, and shipping.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, practical problem-solving, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to stand for approximately 70% of the workday, regularly bend and twist, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds; some tasks may require 70–75 pounds.
• Ability to follow production safety requirements, protective measures, and SDS handling instructions.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience in label production or a printing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with an ERP system; Syteline experience is an asset.
