Disney Lawyers In Film Training (D-LIFT) Associate 2027 - 2028 (Entertainment Law)

Location: Burbank, California, United States. Remote part-time work is available from June 2027 through mid-August 2027; full-time in-person work is required from mid-August 2027 through June 2028. Relocation to the Los Angeles area is required by August 15, 2027.

Pay rate: $41.40 per hour.

Disney Entertainment, Studios provides legal support for the development and production of live-action and animated feature films across Walt Disney Pictures, 20th Century Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and other Studio Legal teams.

What you will do

• Support studio attorneys with legal research, proofreading, and selected drafting.
• Gain hands-on experience with legal matters arising during feature film development and production.
• Participate in studio immersion, business development, leadership development, and mentoring sessions.
• Build professional relationships across legal and business teams.
• Take on expanded responsibilities after passing the California Bar Exam.

Requirements

• Current 3L graduating in May or June 2027 from a U.S. ABA-accredited law school.
• Intend to take the July 2027 California Bar Exam.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Relevant professional experience at a law firm, production company, studio, or media company, including internships.
• Strong interest in entertainment law and motion picture production.
• Strong written and verbal communication, confidentiality, organization, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Relevant entertainment-law coursework, extracurricular activities, or prior work experience.
• Curiosity and willingness to innovate in the legal space using AI tools and smart technology.
