Summer 2027 Legal Intern (JD) (June-August)

Location: Boston, with a hybrid schedule of 2 remote days and 3 on-site days. The 10–12-week internship runs from June 9, 2027, through August 13, 2027. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Research legal issues affecting the global asset management and mutual fund industry, including employment, privacy, cybersecurity, technology, governance, bankruptcy, and tax matters.
• Draft and review corporate governance documents, meeting materials, organizational documents, and shareholder communications.
• Draft and review investment advisory, distribution, fund administration, custody, vendor, licensing, leasing, and other commercial agreements.
• Review investment-related agreements involving derivatives, repurchase transactions, securities lending, forward transactions, offerings, and credit arrangements.
• Assist with regulatory filings, prospectuses, offering memorandums, shareholder reports, proxy statements, and registration filings.
• Support litigation, regulatory investigations, internal policies, committee meetings, and other legal projects.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be pursuing a Juris Doctor degree and have completed at least one full year at an ABA-accredited law school.
• Completed coursework in legal research and writing.
• Strong legal research, writing, communication, attention-to-detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and complete work on time.
• Coursework in business organizations and securities law or comparable work experience is strongly preferred.
