Legal Intern (Summer 2027) (Aerospace)

Location: Remote within the United States; Muon is registered and able to hire in specific U.S. states. The position requires access to export-controlled information and compliance with U.S. Government export regulations.

Pay range: $45/hour for Master's students and $50/hour for PhD students.

hirify.global is a startup and end-to-end Space Systems Provider that designs, builds, and operates LEO satellite constellations for climate monitoring, Earth observation, and national security.

What you will do

• Build and maintain regulatory compliance matrices covering license conditions, reporting obligations, and procedures.
• Support commercial agreements, government contracts, NDAs, and vendor agreements.
• Conduct legal, regulatory, and market research and prepare written summaries and recommendations.
• Assist with legal, corporate, regulatory, filing, process documentation, and export-compliance recordkeeping projects.
• Work with attorneys, regulatory specialists, and the broader Legal and Contracts team across the satellite lifecycle.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a J.D. program; 1Ls and 2Ls are welcome to apply.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
• Interest in space, technology, or government contracting.
• Comfort working remotely in a fast-paced environment.
• Must meet U.S. export-control access requirements as a U.S. person, an individual eligible to access the information without export authorization, or an individual reasonably likely to obtain the required authorization.

Nice to have

• Coursework or demonstrated interest in administrative law, telecommunications, national security, or government contracts.
• Technical background or exposure to aerospace, satellite systems, or defense.
