3rd Line Network Support Specialist (Cybersecurity)

Location: Derby, United Kingdom; hybrid arrangement with a fully on-site focus and some home working. Frequent travel and participation in a 1-in-4-week callout rota may be required.

What you will do

• Provide third-line technical support for complex network, security, and cyber security deployments, incidents, problems, and changes.
• Act as a subject matter expert for network and security technologies, products, and specialised services.
• Detect, respond to, and resolve high-priority incidents within agreed SLA targets.
• Lead incident escalations, technical teleconferences, risk identification, and stakeholder communications.
• Perform root cause analysis and contribute to post-incident reviews.
• Serve as the operational point of contact for design and customer contract teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience in network engineering and security operations.
• Experience with Cisco, Check Point, Fortinet firewalls, F5, Cisco ISE, Fortinet SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, switching, and routing technologies.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience supporting complex customer network and security environments.
• Experience leading multiple incidents, making decisions against SLA targets, and resolving major or complex security issues.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain SC UK Eyes Only Government Security Clearance is required; DV clearance may be required in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with ServiceNow reporting and dashboarding.
• Exposure to AlgoSec and Infoblox.
